An age progression is a computer enhanced image of what someone could look like in years to come. A good age progression artist will use reference photographs of the person’s parents, where possible and also knowledge of that person’s lifestyle, i.e, whether they drink, smoke, sunbathe, whether they have a balanced diet or if they are stressed. The process is not straight forward, there are no good computer programmes that can age a person with conviction as each person ages differently. For example, I can see that my jowls will play a big part in my ageing process, but this wouldn’t be the case for everyone. Working on an age progression can be a labour of love, often working for days to get it looking right.

I was commissioned by BBC Radio 1 to age 5 of their DJ’s to show how they would look in 10 years time if they drank too much alcohol and these are the results!
